Vacuum leak underneath intake manifold

Recommended Posts

I'm eliminating all vacuum leaks using a smoke machine (I've hooked up the smoke machine to the BOV vacuum line that goes to the engine, the little tiny one without the clamp) and I've come across this little piece of metal.

It's under the intake manifold, on the driver side. Here's a reference picture and a zoomed in picture. What is this metal pipe? It's smoking like crazy and covered in oil!:spin:

Upon further inspection.. it doesn't look like it's coming from that pipe. It looks like it's coming from above the pipe, but underneath the intake manifold.

These images are from leaning over the driver side fender.

did you check the throttle body to inter cooler hose?

I believe this is it.. I will have a look tonight.

With the new turbo and the bulletproof mod on my TMIC, I had to wiggle and move it around a lot to get it all to line up. I think I might have moved the TB hose.. makes complete sense! Didn't even think of that, thanks!
