85cobra
Here is some pics of my slo motion everyday cruiser. 00 LGT Limited rebuilt engine and im thinking of a brake upgrade, suspension, cold air and exhaust. Any ideas of the easy less expensive way to do this? Thank u. http://m.flickr.com/photos/83828393@N04/7929530442/meta/ http://m.flickr.com/photos/83828393@N04/7929527376/meta/ http://m.flickr.com/photos/83828393@N04/7929531836/meta/
2point5GT_Dan
Skip the cold air and exhaust. The only reason to do them is if you want the sound. For brakes, check out KNS brakes. http://www.knsbrakes.com/searchResults.php?car_id=148 I'm going to be doing Centric Premium rotors with Stoptech pads on my 2002. Drilled and slotted isn't worth it. Also going to be rebuilding all my calipers. For suspension, depends on how much performance vs comfort you want. I'm building my car for comfort, so I'm going to do new strut mounts, and KYB excel GR2s for struts, keeping stock springs. If you want some drop you can do H&R springs. If you want to go coilovers, non-junk ones costs around 2k. Whiteline also makes suspension bushings. I find bushings + good struts and springs makes for a more consistent car than junky coilovers and no bushings. Turn in also sucks on these cars, I plan to throw an anti-lift kit at the front control arms for more castor to see if that helps.
85cobra
Im looking as this being my cruiser. With a little style. If im slo got look good. Haaa haa. I saw somewhere on here that 05 LGT will fit on our gen. I hoping thats what i read. And im not wanting to drop the ride. I just want it to be able to handle good. Turns especially. How about the strut tower brace? I know mustang have sub frame connectors to help take turns. Does Subaru make something like that? This is my 1st Subaru. dylandevine123
I would try to upgrade the sway bars but there is a great sticky about all the suspension upgrades. Try that first.

2point5GT_Dan
Strut bars don't seem worth it IMO. The sedans have the rear parcel shelf that ties the two towers together and it is pretty beefy. It's not like a GC shell that flaps around. Sway bars are okay if you want to manipulate handling. Everyone does them because they bolt on and off easy, but they really arent the best. I autocrossed my car and felt chassis rigidity was not an issue, but excessive body roll from soft springs and poor turn in from weak subaru base alignment. You will get more out of a good alignment (castor mods + getting as close to -2 camber in the front as you can) than you will bolting on random crap.
