lee07
So my steering wheel is squealing when turning left and right. Sounds like rubber boots when you squeeze on them. It's coming from right behind the steering wheel and the column(the gap there) Easy fix or expensive repair? Had whole new rack and pinion put one a couple of months ago, PS fluid is at the minimum but its making noise right behind the steering wheel Sprayed wd40 in the gap but no luck
brad_houck
did you try the boot at the bottom of the column at the firewall on the inside. sometimes this rubs against the shaft and causes a squeak. spray some lube on there see if it helps. lee07
Will try that but its definitely coming from right behind the wheel, Googled about this and many say a column spring or something, Anyone know if this could be my issue?
