thebigevilfoot Posted October 8, 2009 Share Posted October 8, 2009 I've done so many searches and read the stickied post, but I still am a little confused by how to use a vag-com with a laptop. Can somebody help me out, or if anyone knows a thread with pictures, sort of like a vag-comfor dummies because this seems so hard for me. Also, the one's on ebay that say audi/vw, would those work on the Legacy? Because that's all I can find on there. Is it hard to have the vag-com work? Would tactrix be cheaper? d_a_b Posted October 9, 2009 Share Posted October 9, 2009 the vagcom cable is so you can connect your laptop to the ecu which will allow you to then use programs such as romraider and ecuflash. The vagcom cable from ebay is the one you want even if it says vw/audi ... i bought the same one for 20$ and tactrix cables go for about 200$ but since you have a 2005 the vagcom will do Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
