ohiotrojan
conversion? I am thinking of going this route but want to hear of longevity and any other pros/cons seen. Thanks in advance.
wpmarky
After just switching this past weekend, I have about 500 miles on e85 and loving it =p Initial impressions: my car idles & shifts smoother on e85 than 91. MPG on my 300 mile roadtrip home was 19mpg (and that includes half a tank worth of WOT tuning and having fun with new power, half a tank of freeway cruising). On ca91, I avg about 22mpg, so that's 3mpg drop. I'm going to take it easy this week to see how DD mpg is affected. Even at 19mpg, that is a 10% drop in mileage, but e85 costs 20% less. The trade off is worth it to me to run e85 daily.
Balrock
You have E85 in dayton? There are corn fields there? LOL. As with all power mods they reduce engine life. Your driving style will also have alot to play with longevity as well. Tune will also be paramoount. Do you have all the supporting mods? Big Injectors? Fuel Pump? Stcok turbo?....I would think E85 would really help to burn that out sooner with the extra boost pumped through her with the E85.
