What'd you do to your FIRST Gen. Subaru today?

Don't even want to ask how much that cost.

And what the hell is New Old Stock? Are they making them again or something?

I think there should be a comma in there, but what the hell do I know? "New, Old Stock."

Means that it is an original OEM part that has essentially been sitting since it was made.

Not today, but over the last two weeks:

Got the engine back from the machine shop, Started running turbo oil plumbing, in the process of deleting useless s**t from the ej25d manifold, installed group n mounts, and three days ago I got my hands on the last OEM gaskets and o rings I needed to bolt everything back together :D

Should be fun once it's done. I still have to disassemble my trans again to make sure the shifter's lining up properly, but I've been too lazy to do so.

PS: I don't usually drink miller, but it was the cheapest they had at the distributor.

Well, my 22T/205 hybrid saga has had more drama. I decided to chamber match the 205 heads to the 22T block and went to a shop recommended by the tuner I wanted to use and they mangled my 205 heads. I have over $1500 invested in these heads and they f'ed them up! :(

I told the shop to match the 205 heads to the 22T bore. There was even a machined flycut in the 205 heads that EXACTLY matched the 22T. I get the heads back and they are matched to a 2.5 bore!

To top it off there are tooling marks on the mating surfaces of the cylinder heads. I just had them resurfaced and now there are tool marks all over them!?!? Some are right next to coolant passages!!! And they nicked my brand new exhaust valves!!! I'm pissed and sick of getting screwed over by every damn shop I go to.

The cherry on top is that they had the heads for over three months! When I dropped them off they assured me they would be done in a couple weeks.

Good help is hard to find. :(

I saved for years for this build. So I'm pretty dejected from all the bs I've had to deal with on this project.

I've contacted the shop and let them know how I feel about their work. At this point I'll just have to assemble the hybrid and see if the head gaskets hold up with all the damage.

Shortblock is pretty much assembled aside from piston installation. I busted an oil scraper ring so I had to wait for Wiseco to send me a replacemt.
