ehsnils
Engine running too lean is one possibility. Try to get a reading of the lambda sensor at the same time. If the lambda is OK then it can be that the ignition map is timing the ignition wrong. A faulty injector can also cause trouble, as can a bad or insufficient fuel pump. Misfires can also be a culprit causing this - a checkup of the spark plugs and ignition coils may be in order. And make sure that you run the correct octane rating. Another is that the temp sensor is malfunctioning. The best way is to try to measure the exhaust temp using a secondary sensor. That way you can be able to exclude a faulty temp sensor. Match the temp sensor data given by the ECU with the secondary sensor and see if they follow each other. In the meantime try to load the engine as little as possible and keep the RPM low. scoobyroo
What did it end up being? I have a P0546 as well as a P1312 (Exhaust temperature sensor malfunction)
robitrice
my guess that since he went stage 2 he just had his EGT sensor disconnected. Did the 2.2k OHM resistor in the plug. Just happened to me when i went to my catless setup and that solved the problem for the p0546
