+48 offset vs. +55

Considering a set of stock wheels 17x7 5x100 off a 2005 outback. Looks like these are +48 offset.

 

Has anyone used these with a LGT? How far do they stick out and does it look lame?

They stick out 7mm more than the oem lgt wheels. I like that style of OB wheel and they do look good on an lgt. Make sure you have a lgt sized tire though.

Cool thanks. I think the stock +55 offset wheels tuck in slightly so maybe these will be OK then. I'm trying to get a used set of 4 in good shape for $60 each. Hoping to get him to come down a little bit on them but it seems like a reasonable deal.

7mm is just a hair over 1/4". You will barely notice them sticking out. Go for it.

At that price, try them out. If you don't like them you can move them anyway.

But be prepared for somewhat reduced steering feel and a bit less stability under braking.

I think the real world difference between the two is negligible.
