boostsr20
Should have some Clips soon of my mismatched exhaust parts. LOL I want something that is quiet, but a little throatier than the stock mufflers. So this is what I'm doing. 3" Magnaflo spun metalic cat welded into my xo2 DP. Stock midpipe/Y/Resonator Custom axleback with 2.5" Thrush super turbo chambered mufflers. GTO style 2.25 dual tips. Hoping to be similar or quieter than a borla system. Total cost is going to be around $300.

GP2001
Quick teaser pic. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j263/boostsr20/DSC02442.jpg Looks great!! Sound clip/ links to where you got the mufflers and tips from? I too want roughly similar to Borla sound. I dont want anything too loud and drony, preferably sound close to stock at cruising and idle, little rumble is OK, but want it to sound meaner once you go WOT. Right now I have the hogzaust which sound level wise is fine for me, I just cant stand that damn exhaust leak sound under full throttle.... snow05gtRI
kinda off topic, but what did you do to tint the tails? i like that level of tinting...can still see the colors (white/red), just darkened a little bit.
scoobydoobie
Looks great! can't wait to hear how it sounds, and your impressions as far as noise goes. Pretty much the same exhaust characteristics I want. You have stock UP/Exhaust manifold?
boostsr20
Catless uppipe, Stock exhaust manifolds and its wife approved. (very finnicky wife at that) Tails are Jinsupower Oval overlays.

JohnnyGT08
Looks Friggin amazing. I've wanted quad tips since I got my car, but don't like the sound of the Megan, and the K2 is a bit out of my budget. Can't wait to hear it. NEVER ARGUE WITH A STUPID PERSON. THEY WILL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL, THEN BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE. boostsr20
bump for under car pics Not really much to see but I'll snap a couple pics. Its basically just an axleback that mates to the stock Mid/Y. Like I said, I didn't do it for the performance, i just wanted to hear the exhaust note a little more as the engine got louder from the FMIC. Its a perfect balance in my book. For those wondering the tips are from a company called Pypes and they are listed as GTO style.
Dark-V
Less pictures, more sound clips/videos.... please Looks really good though, not as "big" as the Megan quad tip.
crash
Are these the tips you used (it says 2.5 inlet and 2x2.5 outlet) http://www.jegs.com/i/PYPES/958/EVT19/10002/-

boostsr20
Sorry guys, I tried taking some vids with my digital camera (which sucks) and you don't really get any sort of effect from it. I'll have to see if I can line up a real video camera.

Woodstock
is the stock exhaust restrictive?
JohnnyGT08
the mid and Y are somewhat restrictive, but the stock cans flow fine. There was a legacy here that was pushing 514WHP with stock cans... scoobydoobie
I'd say on the stock turbo, the CBE is not much of a restriction. More of a sound thing.
Woodstock
then I might get a 3" Mid and Y pipies, then mod the stock mufflers to quad tips
