exclucid
My fingers hurt and have multiple cuts. I read over and over recommendations to buy the uppipe, which can be had for less than 100 dollars, over attempting to gut the uppipe. It took more than twelve hours to remove the uppipe and down pipe and gut the uppipe. The first cat in the down pipe was easy comparatively. I left the second cat in the downipe. I was able to succesfully gut the uppipe, but if I was to do it over again, I would buy it every tim. Way too hard, I am happy to report this made made my 5eat noticebly quicker off the line. GTTuner
The proper tool to break up the metal substrate inside the UP makes a big difference. I use an air hammer with a long curved chisel, break out the center and the sides fall right out. Leave the third cat in place, not much restriction there. I have done a few, the UP can be a PITA.
