SUPERBU
Ok guys after lots of demand I convinced Naz and Justin to build a box for the wagons. I was there last night until almost 11:00pm making this with Justin. This box looks awesome and contours to the body lines very nicely. It's nice and compact compared to other vendors 10" sub boxes. I took some quick pics of the progress. (Ignore the quality I left the D80 at home) Keep in mind this is the mock-up box and not the final product. PM Nazar or call 1-603-642-4222 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/RC-NUT/SUBBOX3E.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/RC-NUT/SUBBOX2E.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v64/RC-NUT/SUBBOX1E.jpg

SUPERBU
what is the approximate airspace and sub mounting depth? Once the box is finished I'll have that info for you. I would have to guess .75-.85 cu/ft of air space. We used a JL 10W6v2 for mock-up.

SUPERBU
^^^ I'm trying to figure out what you mean by finish cut?
wukindada
Not a flush seam on top edge or back..... Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!
SUPERBU
Oh ok. These photos are still in the early stage. There will be body filler added and the edges will be smooth. The box also looks better once it's bolted in because it pulls against the panels. The one difficult descission we had to make was how to contour the top to the seam where the black plastic and carpet meet. The plastic has a funky bend around to the door opening. At first we tried to keep the top of the box below that seem but once it meets up with the rear door it looks aweful. You can kind of see this in the first photo. (I probably lost you there.) subeysnow
It looks good so far. In the 2nd pic, it looks as thugh the top is not flush and even with the other panels.... will the finish product? Just want to make sure it sits even, and I'm still able to use my trunk cover. Thanks.
SUPERBU
If you look closely that's actually a bag holder hook and not where your trunk cover locks into. I made sure the trunk cover has plenty of clearance. The box will not sit below the black plastic panel. If you follow the body line in the picture you will see why as you get closer to the rear door. It would have looked stupid and un-level.
Canon20D
Sweet!! Im first in line! This accepts a 10" or 12" woofer?
SUPERBU
This was designed for a flush 10" sub. A JL 10W3 or 10W6 would be perfect. I suppose a 12" would fit on the outer ring. The volume might not be enough depending on the driver.
subeysnow
how would this compare against the stealthbox? If it sounds good, put me down for one in black.
16psibrick
a subbox is a subbox, if it is well built, with the right space for the sub you choose, it will sound fine glad to see this finally get going...hehe

praedet
This is made of fiberglass, the stealthbox is plastic. Overall, this will have more output, and cleaner output, than a stealthbox. (same driver and amp) That is because this will have less flex than the Stealthbox...

(same driver and amp) That is because this will have less flex than the Stealthbox... Whoa, easy there partner... all Stealthbox systems (except for the BMW 3-series pods) are made of 100% fiberglass (no fleece, cloth or other material). You have us confused with MTX or something.
