Austin2334
I've been searching around and have been reading that the Subaru ecu tracks and logs ecu reflashing. Does that mean there is no point in uninstalling AP cuz they can track it anyways?
bmx045
supposedly they can see the last flash date.
NSFW
I've heard a lot of rumors that dealerships can detect reflashing, but I've never heard anything definitive. I wouldn't be surprised either way. But I'd wager that 99% of the time they don't even try to check anyway. Unless you're hoping to get warranty coverage after running an aftermarket tune, in which case you're a bad, bad person they might actually check. But I still don't know whether they can tell. m sprank
They can not directly detect flashing. But... If a certain module is plugged into your car and the tech is super knowledgeable (or it is uploaded to SOA) they will see the "counter". There is an internal "counter" that will show that the ECU has been flashed because the count is higher than it was when it left the factory. If they want to find out, they can. It is just a matter of how far they dig.
