Sideways the Seven
Hey guys, I recently went Stage 2 and flashed the 91 map because I've heard of some concerns with running lean on the 93 map. I'm thinking of loading the 93 map just to see what the results are (I'm bored) and I'm wondering what to log to see if there are any issues and what the values should be. P.S. I hooked up the AP to get a look at my AFRs, and noticed I swung to 11.1 on a few occasions at WOT and that seemed a bit rich. Yes, yes, I'm sure they're noob questions, but I'm a noob at this. -Brandon 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT3 1981 Chevrolet C10 LWB
subiestang
I'm curious as well. Like to know before I make the call. I thought these cars like the richer side....
iNVAR
Who told you it runs lean? The cobb maps are generally pretty rich. The reason people use the 91 map while pumping 93 is because of knock. The 2 gap in octane gives a safety margin. 11.1 isn't rich, and the O2 sensor won't read below that at WOT anyway so you have no idea how rich you're actually going without a WB. Sideways the Seven
Ah, gotcha. It was merely speculation on my part. Sent from my GT-P3113 using Tapatalk 2 -Brandon 2007 Chevrolet Suburban LT3 1981 Chevrolet C10 LWB

Sideways the Seven
i was running really lean on my cobb ots stage 2 map. (93 octane) Did you switch to the 91 map, or did you go pro tune? iNVAR
Running lean how? What did you do to determine that?
Brett
yeah, i got tuned last week. i found out my afr was really lean (i think 12.4) while it was on the dyno. i don't know how it was so lean, i'm running stock intake and stock catback. iNVAR
I don't think that's the usual case. Probably just you.
