HAH. Did that to a friend of mine in my LGT.

He was saying how a 2.2 auto is boring, etc.

Took him out to my favourite paved twisty back road. Changed his mind in a hurry after we drifted some corners.

I've given the offroad dirt treatment to my friends in my old lifted GL too. People are amazed what a subaru can actually do!

I know.. even for n/a.. they make close to NO power but what power they do make is I'm the right rpm range and good for cornering... our cars are perfect for just a fun DD or a trainer for and sti or wrx... not to.fast but just quick enlightened to have fun... i like quick so its perfect... its like I told my buddy when he was looking for a 500hp car.. "don't do it, you'll wreck it and get hurt. Quick is fun, but fast is just dangerous when in the hands of an 18 year old kid."

You should go to a rallyx event. It's basically what you did against the clock. It's a hell of a lot of fun.

Here's me rocking my GL at an event. I beat two 2.5RS's that day :D

Oh god how I would love to! I haven't had time, with school and everything. But I'm going to basic training for the usage this summer. Hopefully Gonna come back with some extra cash. Use that for a newer DD and the turn the LGT into a rallyx car:) I've been wanting to do events for a long time! I kinda wanna build mine a little if I do tho. I have issues making enough power to get out of first gear goin around corners. Can't ever get it sideway enough in second

What if you use the most basic form of the youtube URL? http://www.youtu.be./watch?v=IgU8iXnipAQ

Mobile device should be able to watch a youtube vid.

If you really want to have a lot of fun playing in dirt, go to a rallyX. I've never had so much fun in my life driving around in a dirt field. It's also really great at teaching you car control because you have cones to drive around.

Ask the pros for tips, they're usually more than happy to tell you how to drive the field in the morning when everyone is walking the field.

That is my stand point exactly^ I want to do rally cross and Autocross but I feel like the second I ahoys up everyone will laugh at me lol. My car is bone stock at the moment and I'm only 18. So everyone's first impression of me is gonna be "THIA KID DUNNO $#¡+!!" hahahaha

Well, there's a stock class. There's stock, prepared, and modified.

Stock is a great class for learning. Hell, I learned in mod because my car is so non-original. The guys running that class are really cool. And we don't do any laughing at stock people.

If it's scca, that'll probably put you in prepared. The class right above stock.

I think to be mod you need full coilovers, transmission swap (to a more desirable tranny (6mt, 4.44 5mt, etc)), bigger engine/turbo.

My Gl is mod because fwd to 4wd d/r swap, tires, lift, etc, etc.

It's hard to run a car in stock, as ANYTHING not stock will bump you. So most cars are in prep. Obviously OEM style replacements are allowed in stock, but technically, performance brake pads bump your class.
