garygbnj Posted July 25, 2014 Share Posted July 25, 2014 Both sides are leaking. 174k miles. Trans shop road tested and said not noisy so bearings are probably ok. But he thought it was odd that both sides are leaking. Wasn't sure if just popping the axles would allow him to change the seals. ALLDATA and another program were of no help. If he has to remove the "finned adjustors" he said it was a bear to reset them properly. Could someone please advise as to whether the front differential axle seals can be replaced by just removing the axles. If not then is there a simple way to reset the finned adjustors? The trans shop (Randolph Trans in Randolph, NJ) stated they would have to "ink them" to reset. Gary Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
