catless midpipe

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at replacing my exhaust headers back on my 03 legacy l, since there is a bad cat in it, why not do it all.

I originally picked up a universal cat for it before I ever put the car up on the lift, saw the underside of the car, and said nope to doing that much work on bending pipes to get it to fit.

My question is, If I pick up one of these:

and run it catless, how do I bypass the o2 sensors, so it wont throw a code?

You cant tune a 03 OEM ECU so you will have to live with the light or trick it to liking what it smells. I would just buy a replacement mid-pipe section and bolt it in, one like this:

You could put a piece of black electrical tape over the CEL. Or there is like a spacer you could buy for the O2 sensor to trick it, don't know much about it, but there is such a thing.
