Good Purchase?

I have a friend looking at a 98 outback with 205k, looks like it was owned by an older couple. They have records for good maintenance schedule which include a new timing belt, engine seals and water pump. They say it was towed behind a motor home for the first part of its life. How long can they expect this to go, its in very good condition, no rust or bad panels. $2995

at 205K, its ready for its 3rd timing belt. i think that 3K is a little high to spend on that old of a regular old outback, although older couples are awesome to buy used cars from. Ive seen many for under 5K that have around 150-170K. Ive got an 02 OBW with 215K in my driveway and would be suprised if i could get more than 2K for it.
