UNLIMITED Posted March 12, 2006 Share Posted March 12, 2006 I am currently a VW GTI owner. Coming this monday I should be a 06 Limited Gt owner but I have one question. I need to trade in my car, it is modified with the usual basics. When trading in the car should I return it back to stock as much as possible, or will they take it how it is? It has Sways and Strut bars, air intake, new gril, full suspension and exuast, and chipped of course. Some stuff I can sway but others will have to stay on. Thanks for your help. legacy_y_tu Posted March 12, 2006 Share Posted March 12, 2006 Provided the dealer didn't say he wanted the mods then I'd take as much off as possible and resell them. However, if you show up without the mods and he makes a stink you're in the unenviable position of having to talk trade-in value again or put it back to the way it was. I'd check with him if you're not sure. Some dealers want the mods and others could care less if you put it back to stock. Congrats on the new GT.
