is your car tinted 35% front 20% rears? i like it alot! looks awesome with the wheel choice too

question.. i dont really know who i would ask.. but i will just throw it out here since you guys have been a lot of help with everything else so far its a great group here on this thread! so.. the question is.. what exactly is the point of the license plate mount that allows you to hang your license plate on the front of your car but off to the side? what is the point of that look? is there a purpose or is that just a car fashion? thanks for the answer ahead of time

Thanks guy's and its 20% tint all around including the taillights.

Finally washed & gave it a hand wax. It doesn't stay looking nice long living on a dirt road though. I am dying to get blacked out headlights soon, then rims in the spring, then suspension, ahhhhh it never ends!

They are the tow hook mounts for license plates. Depending on the state you live in, if you don't want to drill holes in your bumper for the license plate mount, you can get the tow hook mount instead.

 

Or the offset license plate can be a personal preference

 

Either way, front license plates ruin the lines of our cars. Consider yourself lucky if your state doesn't require it.

I don't want to put screws in my bumper so I just didn't put the front plate on my new LGT. If I get a ticket for not having it (since our laws have not changed yet YET) I will get the tow hook mounting bracket plate by Grimmspeed until its legal not to have one. I'd rather pay $70 for that than drill into my bumper for a stupid & ugly front plate...

Yes. Yes. There are predrilled spots for a license plate to be attached to the bumper on all models, the spots are just not drilled all the way through. Its like an X shape indention you can see if you look close to my bumper BUT I told my dealer not to put a front plate on (even though its the law here in IL) because I didn't want it put on - my risk.

you might have been "beating a dead horse" but that would only be for some more experienced people.. for someone whose more new all the new info coming in its very useful to hear

 

and as for the customs i have tried both writing on his wall for help.. and also just sent him a personal message have not heard either.. i am trying to learn about how he makes his headlights work.. how do you turn on your every day lights to use.. your brights.. and then how do you change over to the customs and how many different customs can you add on? i have so many questions to be answered and no one answering.. and as for the actual purchase.. i would like to purchase them within the next few months.. i just finished a seasonal job filming some high school football so that should bring in between 800 and 1000 and also need to open a paypal account haha

i havent heard from scott for a while i know he was talking about selling his car so he may have went through with that and bailed. i think a guy on here chaz or somthing(he has a white 3.6) also did his own so he may be able to help with some questions you may have.

but.. it was so professional.. so legit.. like i dont want to do anything on my own.. i was hoping he would buy 2011 lights for me and mod them with red halos tinted with eyebrows etc etc.. i mean.. i dont know exactly because i dont know details.. i thought his last post was a few days ago.. i mean you guys know his work better than i do! his last post was on 10/26/11 saying that he was going somewhere and he would be back on the first today is the third.. sooo.. maybe its whenever he has time to get on? and i just have to be patient?..

Basically there are 2 main options. 1. Send him your entire headlight housing and he modifies them to what you want and sends them back or 2. He buys a brand new set and does the work to your needs and then sends them to you.

 

With option 1 you have a 2 ways to do it, a core swap meaning he has a set of headlights that he modifies to your needs, sends them to you (full payment required) then you swap yours out and send your "stock" ones back to him and he refunds the core charge. OR you send him your cores (entire light housing) and then he modifies them and sends them back to you (less up front money needed).

 

I chose the second method of buying a set of cores (he actually bought them with my money) and then he does the work and sends them to me and I have them installed. I then keep my stock cores in a box in the crawlspace if I ever want to go back to stock.

 

For the light options I think you are overthinking it. unless you get "demon eyes" they lights go on when you turn your lights on. The angel eyes might be turned on with the fol light switch, not sure. But for me I just did the blacked out headlights and they are simply plug and play.

 

He's pretty good about getting back to people, though I think he just got married so he might be tied up in a certain room of the house at the moment.

yeah i understand the first part.. i am going to go with the option of buying a whole brand new set from him and have him mod.. and yeah i always over think and think outside the box.. thats just how i am haha.. i enjoy designing.. but the reason i ask all these questions is because i want them to look as best as possible.. like i want angel eyes.. which are white halo shaped lights that you can drive with legally.. then i saw the picture below.. making me want the red lights to be in the shape of a halo as well.. and i wasnt sure if that was possible.. if the same halo can be used for the legal angel eyes and the illegal (to drive with) red light mod.. etc etc.. along with the possibility of having multiple halos.. (again etc etc..) if you catch my thought drift of where i am coming from..

thank you for the reference.. i mean i really love these custom headlights and really want to go through with a purchase.. i think what i really want to see is for someone like the guy you just referred.. is if they could do a video walk around that shows what allows each function to happen yaknow? and again.. do not ever think your beating a dead horse when explaining ANYTHING to me because i always welcome useful information!

Thanks! The roof spoiler came from China but the quality & fit is awesome. The visors are Wade Slim Line Window Deflectors by Westin, from Auto Anything. I feel like the rear ones end in a random spot but oh well.

I'm new to the forum but I love the color of this car!!! Almost has that deep purple hue to it or so I think and I've been getting compliments like crazy. As of now color matched grill and flat black headlihts are the only things done. Tein s springs are goin on in the spring and windowvtinit of course
