markc0220k
planning to change my tires later, will probably upgrade the springs soon as well, thinking what would be matched my oem bilstein absorbers? Rallitec and pink? anyway, back to the topic, now it's stock 215/45/18. shall i go 225/45? or 225/40? or remain stock size? thinking to buy Continental ExtremeCont DW. anyone has it? how is it? thanks, mark
clarkwgriswold
i've got 225/45 and like the way they look better than the stockers. A little more height and width. Just my $.
markc0220k
i've got 225/45 and like the way they look better than the stockers. main reason i want to go for 225 is to protect the rim, but 45 seems make the car slightly afloat plus the stock tires - RE050A's shoulder/side wall is much stronger comparing with ExtremeContact DW i believe, so... size 40 may help? any other quiet/reasonable tire treat (above 300) performtires options? thanks, mark
scoobydoobie
+ 1 for 225/45/17. Getting Conti DWS on today in that size. Replacing 225/45/17 RE960AS.

wpmarky
+1 for 225/40/18 I went from stock 215/45/18 (on 18x7.5) to 235/40/18 (on 18x8 22lb rims), then 225/45/18 (on 18x8 18lb rims), now 225/40 stretched on 18x9 22lb rims, with a set of 245/40/18 sitting in the garage waiting to be installed on the 18x9's. 40 profile feels noticeably more planted/steady. 215/45 got better mileage can't wait to try 245/
