myUsername Posted May 31, 2008 Share Posted May 31, 2008 I'm getting a weird tread wear on two of my tires - front driver side and rear passenger side. Both tires are worn out about 8" long and 1" wide on the inside. I found out when I took my car to Les Schwab because the car vibrates at 70mph and when braking. I thought I needed to get them balanced. I have about 5k-8k miles left on these tires and I'm getting new ones soon. Would I need to get a 4 wheel alignment or did I ride the current tires unbalanced for a lengthy period of time which caused the uneven tire wear? Tires are Toyo Proxes FZ4 on Enkei RPM2, size 225/40/18, with about 40k miles at 36lbs PSI. No modifications done to suspension. I don't remember curbing my wheels or hitting any big potholes.
