subikid90
I do not have a picture but I put two switches below the ashtray/acc outlet on the vertical part of the shifter trim. Looks almost factory. If I remember I can snap a picture of them. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
monkeyposeur
I've spent many days trying to figure out how to use an OEM switch for completely independent fog lights. The OEM switch has six pins and five wires coming out of the harness plug. I can't figure it out. I know how to wire the OEM switch to function stock, but that is not my goal. Tomorrow I will try to wire them in with a rocker switch and a relay so they will be completely independent. BTW if anyone knows how to get the OEM switch to work in this respect I'm all ears. I'm sure it has to be possible but I'm at a loss. I'm going to sleep on it and see if I wake up with any ideas.

XxKylexX
Here's mine (a bit dusty...): http://www.bedug.com/pics/Subaru/stalk.jpg That's pretty sick. I wanted to replace my Pre cut outs (like where the cruise control and rear defrost are) on the left side but idk if some of the switches will fit it. I really like this look you got! Joaks
I have an OEM switch and OEM fog lights which are independant of the headlights. I did not use the OEM wiring harness and instead a regular relay (parking lights need to be on with me setup).
Michalooch
How do I get JUST my parking lights and foglights on without headlights?
stevenva
Have you ever considered using a capacitive touch kit instead of a switch? You won't need to modify your dash. You can install it so that a chosen metal part you touch activates the device, like a semi-hidden screw, ect. This is a dual circuit kit that will drive 2 separate devices if you want. Relays will be required but you will need relays anyway for all but the most robust switches. Stang70Fastback
Lol, too bad our cars' interiors are just a vast expanse of black plastic with almost no metal materials. Cool idea tho. Then you can tell everyone your car works just like the new Cadillac Cue system!
stevenva
In that case you can use a this device. It is designed to be placed behind any non-conductive surface for activation. No physical contact is needed. http://www.bonanza.com/listings/Electronic-Kit-Capacitive-Touch-Sensor-Switch-12V/39831914?gpid=21297750541&gpkwd=&goog_pla=1&gclid=COH9nOvlwrQCFQqk4AodTiQAOA RIP 96 Legacy 2.2 4EAT lost reverse @ 374,000 miles
