Front end squeaking

Recommended Posts

Second generation. 5mt. AWD.

Happens mostly at low speeds, mostly when turning. I suspect the steering rack bushings, but lots of bushings may need to be replaced.

Consider this a game. And yes, I have read the sticky.

List, in order, the parts you would replace. Source and part number will earn you one Internet.

sway bar bushings

steering rack bushings

control arm bushings

strut mounts (top hats)

I would as well shake down the front end to make sure your lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends are in good shape.

I was thinking about buyings this bushing kit for my own car. Its for an Impreza, but I believe most of the bushings will fit on our cars. When you replace bushings, make sure you grease them up or else they will make all kinds of funny noises

Can I have two internets because I linked you to an all in one kit? haha

lol. Most of the suspension parts between the Legacy and WRX are interchangable. I don't think EVERYTHING in the kit will fit, but most of it should
