New info?

Recommended Posts

Just a note for all those awaiting any info on new models, new performance part listings, etc.

The S.O.A. Annual Dealers Meeting takes place in California next week, dealers and S.O.A. reps from all over the country will be in attendance to see and hear all the news for the upcoming months.

I expect very good things to come...:D

Maybe not, thy could say that a few '06 models will be bastardized with the new nose that is on the Tribeca, and that dealerships are not allowed to retrofit parts onto any Subaru, the '06 Legacy will get no new options, etc etc...

Event is in San Diego, not sure exactly where though...

You mean they've changed their minds and they aren't going to re-make the entire line to look like the Tribeca?

 We actually got our first Tribeca in last week and it looks much better in person. I guess time will tell how the other model lines turn out....but I doubt the Legacy line up will get a facelift before 2008.

Agreed. The Tribeca that was at the Vancouver Auto show looked pretty good in person compared to the horror show that I saw in magazines. It changed my mind and I had to tell my sister-in-law to really consider it for her next car as her family has outgrown her Impreza wagon.

  • 2 weeks later...

Meeting was today (sorry a little off on my dates).

And if I were to "guess" what they talked about...;)

'06 Legacy 2.5GT SpecB - Performance Suspension & 18 in wheels

'06 Legacy & Outback Limited's get Navi option

Legacy SPT parts (springs & exhausts) get released

'06 WRX gets TR Edition - Lightweight model

'06 WRX & STi get facelift (as seen in Road & Track's Speed Magazine, May/June Issue, page 22).

All '06 n/a base models get revamped 2.5l SOHC upped to 173HP

....but that's just a "guess". :D

In a broader look, when is the '06 line expected to be rolled out?

'06 Rollout starts with the Tribeca's that are shipping now, facelifted '06 Foresters are next, figure about 6 weeks from now. '06 Impreza's and Legacy's towards end of August/September...possibly later..
