NewLegacyOwner
I know some of you pull off all the badges, which I may consider at some point....my main concern now is removing the dealer decals on the back of my car. They're not a badge like the "SUBARU" or "LEGACY", but look more like they stuck some sticker on it (all individual letters). If I start peeling, will it eff up my paint? Any advice on taking this eyesore off?
NutBucket
Should have had the dealer remove them before buying You could probably try a bit of heat to get the decal off and some goo-gone or 3M adhesive remover for sticky residue.
NewLegacyOwner
Think 100 degree baking in the Texas sun sorta heat would be enough? And I wish I had thought about having the dealer take it off...in fact...they've got a bumper issue they're going to take care of for me...maybe they can take off the decals for me too. ean611
isopropyl alcohol worked for me getting gunk off. (after pulling off sticker) YMMV
Vbelisle
I was able to get my dealer sticker off with just my fingernail, but mine was more like a vinyl.

I'll give it a whirl on one of the smaller letters and see what happens. Thanks for the replies, everyone.
AV8TORSADF
I used a hair dryer for a few seconds, then dental floss and finally to get of the remaining gunk I used a cleaner wax and it is all gone. Took me 5 minutes for each one. Here are some before and after pics: Before: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m202/csussman1/Subaru%20Legacy%2030R%20LTD/AtHome05.jpg After: http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m202/csussman1/2009%20Legacy%20Debadged/Debadged02.jpg

Your car looks good.
Connect4
I think you should leave it on and have the dealership pay you for advertising their dealership. We all need extra money, right?

NewLegacyOwner
IT'S OFF!!! I ignored lunch and focused on removing it and it came off with fingernails and a little goo remover. Thank God. Looks much better with just the Subaru badges.
Scotty
I think you should leave it on and have the dealership pay you for advertising their dealership. We all need extra money, right? There have been people that hand write that clause in on their contracts prior to completion of the sale of the car. Dealers are usually really quick to remove any advertising from the car.
