JBLU24 Posted March 11, 2008 Share Posted March 11, 2008 this is my 2nd ACT 6 puck to start slipping and 3rd overall it was doing just fine until I went to the track yesterday....launch control set @ 5500....let off the clutch and then hit redline...try 2nd..redline...3rd...same:mad: I guess finessing it in NYC traffic took its toll what can you guys recommend to hold about 450wtq (>550 to the crank I'm guessing) and still be driven daily?? a vendor I spoke to said that the Exedy twin wont work in a Legacy...he's looking into a Carbonetic setup.... Clutchmasters said they have push type units on the shelf but waiting 3-4 weeks for the accompanying flywheel.... waiting on Exedy to see what they can do... what Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 You might want to check out Spec, I think they will make custom twin disc clutches, and I know they have a specific clutch for the Legacy. I'm still concerned as I will be hitting the E-town strip pretty soon. You will be fine with the 6 puck and the amount of torque the 40BB puts out. My vf40 on 100oct puts out about 335lbs of torque and the ACT street disc holds just fine after and during my recent trip to Fontana Dragway out here.
