copyboy311
I just picked up a used graphite gray 2011 Legacy Premium 6MT with 36k miles after months of looking for one with a MT that wasn't stripped of all options. This one has moonroof and all-weather package. I'm impressed I was able to squeeze out 34 mpg on the highway on my 200-mile trip home. That's the most I've ever gotten out of any of my previous Subarus. This one replaces : 2003 Legacy GT 5MT (bought at 19k miles; sold at 180k miles, original clutch too) 1995 Impreza coupe 5MT (bought at 45k miles; sold at 120k miles) 1987 GL-10 turbo wagon 4AT with selectable 4WD (bought at 64k miles; sold at 120k miles. Early Subaru turbos were kind of shitty, and my experience with this particular car should have blackened my opinion of Subaru, but I stuck with it. I drove it to Alaska from Wisconsin, so that may have had something to do with the sentimental attachment) I am: 42, married, two kids and I work as a marketing copy editor. I have not modified the car at all yet, and I doubt I would do much more than maybe rims and the stereo, as that's pretty much all I did to the previous cars. I am disappointed that Subaru cheaped out on the iPod interface on this 2011 and only included an aux. input, vs. a USB. That's probably my first order of business. Next would be the homely 16-in. rims.

That's probably my first order of business. Next would be the homely 16-in. rims. I may be misunderstanding you (it's not clear what you're complaint is). But, there's a USB slot inside the center armrest, along with a second power socket.

Ellesedil
^I think he was hoping for steering wheel controls capability with his iPod? *shrugs* I'm allergic to Apples, so I wouldn't know. However, my music set-up is simply a USB thumbdrive with a bunch of songs on it divided into folders for artists and albums. The steering wheel controls work just fine for me. Anyways, we're getting off-topic here. I just wanted to let him know about the USB slot in case he wasn't aware of it.
Philberto
There's not a USB slot in my 11 either. Could have been added in 12. OK, back to our regular program.
acumenhokie
I have a USB slot on my 2010 and it works fine for changing tracks using the steering wheel (while streaming Pandora). Maybe you just need to get the media hub? http://www.subaru.com/owners/resource-center/electronics-audio/media-hub/media-hub-faq.html
