suboogru
What can I do to improve deadstop acceleration in my stock 5eat? (Other than push the pedal down further)
No DRFT
Is this a real problem? Climber@hexmods can assist you in building your transmission a bit stronger. Other than that, do a manual conversion I have no control over drippie.
suboogru
Not really a problem just looking to improve CHEAPLY if i can. I don't really know if its all that bad, I'm just used to a stick. First a/t i had in 10 years. How much does a typical transmission swap cost? Would it mess up my factory navi
I Donated thefultonhow Posted June 6, 2012 I Donated Share Posted June 6, 2012 High stall torque converter. Stage 2 upgrades. A swap would be difficult. You'd need a lot of electrical parts, and the transmission crossmembers have different bolt patterns. Sorry to say, but if you wanted a manual, you should have gotten a manual. Mega Users seabass07 Posted June 6, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted June 6, 2012 IMO, a high stall tc is a waste on stg 2.

Moderators BarManBean Posted June 7, 2012 Moderators Share Posted June 7, 2012 FYI, you'll need new center diff bearings if you plan on launching your 5EAT...so I've heard... "Bullet-proof" your OEM TMIC! <<Buy your kit here>> Not currently in stock
Mega Users seabass07 Posted June 7, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted June 7, 2012 You have full boost and peak torque at 3500 rpm with stg 2. Ideally, you want your peak torque to be around your stall speed.
suboogru
Don't really want a stick in the legacy. Car like this is more of the family cruiser for me. Was just looking at possibilities. I've always had 2 cars and now have 1. Maybe I'll get another beater to fart around in
Mega Users seabass07 Posted June 7, 2012 Mega Users Share Posted June 7, 2012 Hold the brake and gas at the same time until the revs hit 3500, let go of brake. That's the most you'll get out of it. It's enough to open the moonroof shade all the way. You will tear up your center diff eventually without upgrading the bushings though.
