quicklook2 Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009 2000 legacy gt, went to napa to get wix filter and it leaks. i have changed hundreds of oil filters in the past including a 92 legacy so i do know how to change them. never had one leak before, ever. so i went to subaru dealer and picked up the smallest oil filter i have ever seen, 15208AA12A. normal part guy was on vacation. is this the correct filter? can a filter for the 6 cyl be used? who uses what filter on their legacies? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
franklin Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009 I looked up the Purolaror filters for your car....Pure1 ( excelent filter ) = PL14460 regular Purolator = L14460. pillboy Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009 Good thing you didn't get the Wix because it would have surprised you even more as it is smaller than the OEM I have on hand. pillboy Posted August 18, 2009 Share Posted August 18, 2009 You must mean Wix # 51334. The one I have is 51365. The Wix site lists this # for our '02 NA Outback (oil AND auto trans filter) and for my '05 LGT (oil AND auto trans filter). The OEM that ends in 12A is the current Subaru filter.
