but if you lower the rack and the lower a arms together you should be ok.

i'm sure the ls7 pan is not ment to be as low profile as possible. you could get away with a aluminum flange and a sheetmetal plate

Now that's thinking out of the boxer!

^ yep you basically keep the geometry. there would be a slight change in relation ship to the strut but it would be almost nothing. the idea of keeping the lower control arm and the tie rod parallel

  • 2 weeks later...

so i plumed propane right into my fuel rail today a coupple weeks behind schedual.

and it runs! i made a i phone video showing how i did it.

so what i learned is having 1 fuel rail with two fuel types not such a good thing. its a rough transition from propane to gas. since some of the injectors get the new fuel type before othes do.

the injectors had to be open twice as much for propane once i figured everything out. to the contary of the first video. due to other settings.

the injectors and fuel rail got cold but ambient temps were about 5 deg c so thats kind of normal.

they have up to 300 hp kit and 300 hp+ kit.

but dont forget the car will be dual fuel. can switch back to gas anytime on the fly even when flooring it.

but with tis expirement it shows one can use fuel injectors and inject the liquid propane in. it may require larger injectors like e 85 does.

and fyi there are dragsters and mug bog trucks 2000 hp running on propane. so its just a matter of being able to shoot in enough gas.

the ebay kits reduce pressure to 15 psi and only inject propane in gaseous form. but i was reading into high hp kits injecting high pressure propane and they even use a bosh gasoline pump to raise the pressure.

so it seems that propane is a good alternitive to e85 just as high octaine but even cheaper and better fuel economy with less than you might think changes to your car!

just some more food for thought...

if you run propane you could potentially be driving for less cost than a prius!

with a good propane setup you could make more power than your making now.

you can would be dual fuel so you can double you range .

and propane is better for the enviroment.

video of -6 deg C cold start. nothing special i'll take another video from the engine bay.

i'm very happy with this engine its very quiet mechanically even tho it has forged pistons.
