New Conti's on stock rims 225/45/17(pics)

Went with the Conti Extreme Contacts in 225/45/17 and WOW what a difference after spending 30k miles on stock RE92's:redface: . I immediately noticed a smoother ride around town and on the highway. Those gaps on the Turnpike aren't as harsh and the potholes aren't ass scary.

Plus with the larger tire it has that flare to it that helps protect the rim and also gives it a more aggressive look IMO.

Definitely worth the $97 per tire.:)

Haven't had the opportunity to push them yet, only had them installed yesterday.

I am heading to Rhode Island this weekend so that should be a nice test. I very curious to see how they are in the rain compared to the Re92's.

I was looking at the bridgestone pole position re960's in 18, but i might go with these instead since the price is right and there almost similar in performance.

not really, contixtreme has a really soft side wall, you meight not like how "under inflated" they look. otherwise these are extremely nice all season tires.

G.T. does your Leggy have a suspension drop? I was considering 225's on the stockers also. I'm curious how it would look under my iON drop.

I tell myself that an N/A Forester is just an STI without all the fluff like, power, handling, style, racing heritage, and curb appeal.

Heightsgtltd's review & continued satisfaction also convinced me to try the Conti's as well:)! No regrets, and this was coming from the Pzero's. The icing on the cake will be how they wear...I got 43k out of the Pirelli's.

Why not the RE690 PP A/S? I have the PZero's and will go to them next.

I wasn't convinced the RE960's were worth $45ea over the Conti's. I drive alot of hwy miles, so wear is important. I seriously doubt the 960's would wear 25% longer than Conti's or the Pzero's, so I decided to save a few bucks....

This morning completly sold me on these tires. It was pouring and there were puddles all over the roads and these things nevere once skwirmed or lost their handle.

I was so used to floating over the water on the RE92's that my car felt so much better in the heavy rain.
