spooln30
Mine is leaking pretty good now and I have to rebuilt it soon. Did you just buy that bearing with the shaft?
subieadam
Mine is leaking pretty good now and I have to rebuilt it soon. Did you just buy that bearing with the shaft? You buy the reseal kit from Subaru, and that includes all of the seals needed to rebuild the pump. The bearing and shaft come together but are not included in the seal kit. Really the bearing doesnt need to be replaced, but mine was shot... It wouldnt hurt since you are rebuilding the pump to replace it anyways so everything is fresh. I also replaced the drop in filter in the P/S reservoir with a new one.
spooln30
I bought the seal kit from Napa a while ago. Fixing cars for a living my stuff tends to get put on the back burner most of the times. Btw the seal kit from Napa uses the same seals as oem and it's half the price.
subieadam
I was not aware of that, so thanks for pointing it out! I know abt the back burner but sometimes you have to say screw it. Move out of my way people im gonna fix my own stuff lol

subieadam
Not another one. Lol Yeah I would like to try it out and see how it feels. I figured I woulf do it to the Leggy rack since I plan on using a FWD Impreza rack. So if I dont like it I will throw in the Impreza rack and put the p/s components back in. If I do like it then I will be modding an Impreza rack also lol
subikid90
You want a 6203 bearing if you need to replace it. Mcmaster has them for $6. -Subikid90 1997 Legacy GT 5spd & EJ251 w/EJ25D heads ~10.5CR 1998 Legacy GT Limited waiting for EJ22T hybrid swap
