el scorcho
Power steering belt is the one that's on the passenger side, correct? I've been having squealing during low speed (parking) turns...so, when I looked at the belt, it has a tear down the middle of the belt so that it's in 2 pieces. getting it looked at/replaced tmrw. anyone ever seen anything like this or know how it happened? cheerio
fix it or it will cost u a lot of money later on... i had a similar problem except my belt was just getting old and slipping. Anyways to make a long story short .... i think two other forum member had a belt issues where it ripped off and got caught up somewhere in the motor messing up their A/C compressor and wiring. Its like a 30 minute fix with the right tools.
cheerio
i think its called serpentine belt cause it connects to the power steering and alternator.

devobuzz
Make sure the crank pulley is OK too. When the pulley comes apart and separates it will destroy the belt.
