Searching works well in the newer gens. There's

only 2 pages of older gen stuff so it tends to get

rid of stuff pretty quickly.

Ok, easy way:

- Take off wheels.

- Sand them lightly to remove any road grime and make

them smooth. Or if there is rust sand off the rust completely.

- Buy a deck of cards and put them inbetween the tire

and the rim to prevent paint from getting on your tires.

- A few coats of clear over the paint when it's dried.

- Let dry for at least half a day before driving around on

them, but a full day or more would be ideal so no road

grime gets on them and they aren't getting exposed to

dust.

Black's probably the best color for them. They'll look

cheesy any other color.

 true...but wheels are wheels. plenty of stuff up on prepping and painting your stock wheels, steel or not.

I just mean I personally dont even go to

the newer gen boards since I have never

owned any Legacy past 94 haha

I guess it's kinda sad I haven't visited the

other ones though. Could give me some

good ideas.

And yeah. I guess you could go a lot more

into it than I did. When I painted my goldies

on my RS I went way in. Did everything nicely.

On the Legacy it was a light sanding to remove

rust and a wash, dry, paint, clear.

A good paint job is all in the preperation and paint choice. Im not surethose wheels are worth painting but if you must. I found the best cleaner to use right before you paint it is TSP(trisodioum phosphate), especially on painting plastic. It can be found at small hardware stores, wallmart sells a safe version but it sucks. The good stuff is usually a dry powder and is corrosive just like bleach.
