08LGT80
I'm conflicted on which pad has better performance! I have roughly 30% life left in my front brakes pads and 20% in my rear pads. Which one should I buy? Which has better braking performance? Does anyone have experience with both and can tell me what the difference between the two pads are? Thanks in advance! 08LGT80
i currently have HAWK PC(performance ceramic) front and rear pads now. i'm wondering if the HPS is better or not? for some reason, the HPS is cheaper than the PC pads.
SuperTurbo
ceramic usually gives you a more quiet ride, and better heat lost than semi-metallic or metallic pad. I am using EBC Red, some minor complain is the brake dust, and brake-in is really noisy. Other than that, it's quieter than HPS, and stopping power is about the same, but the Red one seems to perform a little bit better on stopping. [REMEMBER don't go to yellow, they require lots of warm up to perform properly on a cold day]
AZP Installs
Hawk HPS is a good street pad that has decent heat capabilities and lower than average dusting. The PCs are just as good so if cost is a factor then just get the HPSs. If you are just street driving then there is nothing wrong with either of them. -Jake http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly for your best Whiteline Price! | We also carry almost every manufacturer now, so before you buy parts call us. Is there any concern running the HPS in winter? Or thats sort of moot since brakes make their own heat (possibly need to drag brakes to warm them on first start up)? AZP Installs
Nah the HPS is an all year pad. I've run them on all my cars with no issue. -Jake http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly for your best Whiteline Price! | We also carry almost every manufacturer now, so before you buy parts call us. My HPS Pads are crap in the winter.. especially when it rains. I'll have literally no braking for a good second or two if I'm driving on the highway in rain.. Looking into getting new brakes now, just don't know which to get

Weekend Shooter
anybody know how long rotors last with normal driving on a legacy 2.5 matic? Do these have to be changed at 20miles usually?
weaveleftnright
Currently have the Hawk PC with Power Slot Cyro Rotors all around and brake performance is vastly improved from stock. I have had no issues with the PC stopping in rain or snow, have had them on a year and a half ~ 35k. Also had similar setup on my Accord lasted 80k, then I traded it in on the Legacy. weaveleftnright
My Subaru Rotors were crap! I got them "turned" once and a week later the shimmy was back, so I just replaced them all with Power Slot Cyro Rotors and Hawk PC pads.

Is it that you dont get any bite and then it kicks in or is it like you have no feel and then pump again to have it clamp down more? -Jake http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://upload.pbase.com/image/137566671.jpg Call directly for your best Whiteline Price! | We also carry almost every manufacturer now, so before you buy parts call us.
