505Lgt
So I have this chirping from my tranny. Slight clutch pressure and the noise goes away. I've been researching and found some stories saying there was a little too much free play between the fork and the bearing causing it to squeak and chirp Can anyone relate? Or has anyone heard of this before?
torinalth
you can create a lil more tension in the setup by adjusting the rod that attached to the clutch master in the floorboard. did this with my WRX. the chirping was suggested that it is also the TOB going bad.... this has not been confirmed or refuted, just suggested. to fix the squeeking, even temporarily, adjust the rod. SUPERBU
I had the same problem in my GT with 79K miles. After a month the TOB went BANG and left me stranded. My mechanic claims the GT's are known for bad TOB's. Not sure how factual that is but I hope your is something simple.
