505Lgt
soooo while sitting at a stop light i noticed a chirping.. and thought... why o why is there a bird under my car...anywho.. i narrowed it down to the throw out bearing going bad. i bought the car used from a dealership and have owned it for about 2 months. (The chirping only occured when the clutch had no pressure on it and the slightest press would cause the chirping to go away). so talking to some subie friends i decided to get a disko a clutch and the bearing. but i have never changed a clutch before. so would anyone be willing to help change out a clutch? pleaSE!!!!1http://www.legacygt.org/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif
torinalth
asking for help, usually is more well received when there is some sort of incentive... and then a location to see who is local

rock2534
Did you call the dealer you bought the car from? Two months is not a long time, they should be willing to do something for you. Maybe they will put the parts on if you provide them??
torinalth
hmm, dont know anyone in AZ that know anything about cars, so outta luck on my end. Also, good call on the dealer. most have a 90 day warranty incase of issues. worth a shot. T

I could be wrong but i have yet to see many, not to mention on the regional forums for south west (which includes arizona) is by far the least active. Sorry. NSFW
I know it's been covered in a thread here at least once, with a video if I remember right. A search would probably turn it up. Also check the how-to sub-forums.
torinalth
http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/diy-clutch-replacement-video-126975.html video on how to do it. I have a few gripes with it, as it assumes you know what you are doing... if you have never torn into a subaru before, then there are some gaping holes that can get a new mechanic lost.. but overall covers the major points
valerka
Here is a good walk through pertaining to the WRX / STI, it shouldn't be much different though.
