Perscitus
Received some dual bead clamps from Gator to replace all along the intake/throttle body tract. Great build quality, easy install/removal, far better equalized clamping vs standard and even tbolt clamps I had on previously. The rolled edges and internal sleeves are great silicone coupler friendly features, with dual beads providing a better seal... No vaccum leaks whatsoever with less clamping force. Will be back soon to order constant tension clamps for the WRX intake, charge pipe and TMIC couplers.

Sgt.Gator
how much pressure are these rated for? I don't think silicon hose clamps are rated that way. At least I've never seen that kind of rating for silicon hose clamps. Is there an SAE standard besides sizing? Murray Constant Tension clamps have been used for years on WRC cars where they have to endure not only pressure, anti-lag rocket box boost, but a gruelling amount of vibration on gravel roads, forest trails, and jumps! That's why they were used on the 2016 Subaru Isle of Man Record Setting WRX. It's funny, Murray wasn't even aware their clamps were used on the Isle of Man car until I showed them a pic last year. So it's not like they are paying to be a sponsor and have their clamps used on the car. Their clamps are there because that's what ProDrive has been using in their WRC builds for a long time. Here's their new WRC SCRC Golf: "The VW Golf SCRC has been designed to compete in championships that run open class type regulations for two litre turbocharged cars with four wheel drive." http://www.prodrive.com/rally Nothing like a race track to find the weak points in man and machine. Th3Franz
Good explanation. My car has some tight spots with the t bolt clamps getting in the way. These would fit nicer. Sgt.Gator
Good explanation. My car has some tight spots with the t bolt clamps getting in the way. These would fit nicer. Any bulk discount? No discount if you are buying one size, just get it on eBay. They have a discounted shipping charge, less than I can get direct from FedEx or USPS. If you are buying a few sizes I can discount the shipping, but you have to PM me the order here. On my eBay store I can't figure out how NOT to charge a shipping charge on each item type. So if you go to the store and buy 10 clamps all the same size I only charge shipping on the first clamp. But if you order 10 clamps and each one is a different size eBay charges shipping for each one. I think to avoid that I have to buy a 3rd party shopping cart that integrates with eBay but that's out of my league right now. Thanks! Sgt.Gator
From PRI 2017: I had a great talk with the owner of the Can Jam Motorsports STI, Nick Hoo, that just won the Speedring 2017 Time Attack overall fastest time and earned them a $20K check from Motovicity. It was very interesting. First a few shots of his car: I think the splitter needs to be a little larger.... Look! Murray Constant Tension Turbo Clamps! hadvw
So it looks like dual bead is for sealing tight, and constant tension for having a little flex under strain? Which one would be recommended for a grimmspeed intercooler? Standard dual bead? Also in for a set of 4. Anyone take measurements yet? Gator - you should totally advertise a Grimmspeed host clamp replacement kit for $30-35 shipped or something. Or get them to point people to you or offer an upgrade through you.
