Badge. Too much empty space with nothing in there IMO.

Mind giving a little more detail on the grill itself? How does it install etc.? Is this just a piece that goes over the front of the OEM grill? Do I see the OEM wings through the grill? Looks like a great deal compared to other $$$$ options.

Thanks. Looks pretty easy and a great solution for the price. How much can you see what's left of the wings through the grill? It's pretty faint in the pics you posted, but I wonder how it looks in different light and at different angles?

i might remove them although they (grilleguy.com) says not to because it would weeken the grill

another option is flat black paint would stop any reflective areas

also i have a set of chrome wings tips that i don't need any more

PM me if your interested

It does look kind of plane with nothing. I have the same grill. I put the "GT" that I debadged from the back on the right hand side of the grill. I think it looks pretty good.

Has anyone cut out the crap in the middle of the stock grill when doing the "grill guy" DIY. I saw that the DIY mesh grill requires you to cut it all out, but it calls for fiberglassing. I'm tempted to dremel it all out.

Here's the original grille I got from grilleguy:

And here's the grille after I got sick of it and re-used grilleguy's mesh in a DIY application:

A little cutting, then fiberglass, then bondo, then sand, then primer, then paint

Kagenmateer,

It looks really good. I might have to change my vote to no badge. How did you attach the grill to the housing without the crap in the midde to zip tie it to? Was it necessary to do the fiberglass and bondo or was that purely for aesthetics?

I drilled holes in the plastic supports around the outside edge to run my zip ties through. And, yes, the fiberglass and bondo is necessary if you don't want it to look like crap.
