Passenger airbag indicator wiring...

I recently took out the shifter surround plate to try and fix a rattle. I've done this multiple times but for some reason this time after I popped it back the airbag light in the gauge cluster came on. My mechanic's OBD scanner showed it was something wrong with the passenger airbag indicator which currently shows nothing under the "passenger airbag" light. Initially after jiggling some wires the off sign would flicker but now it wont appear and the OBD scanner couldn't clear the code from the gauge cluster. Short of buying new wiring and spending a lot of money, is there a simple fix or a wire I should look at in particular? I can't seem to find any diagrams that match the color wires to which indicator they illuminate. I'm thinking of the wires isn't making a metal on metal connection but I don't know which corresponds to the on/off indicator. My car has signiciant audio/dash modification from a previous owner--double din above with clock/mpg gauge in place of ash tray

I've had airbag issues which I still haven't fixed, and from what I've read around, it's common for some resistors in the ceiling to cause passenger airbag issues.

i'll go find the thread i'm thinking of in a sec, but my passenger airbag display is in the ceiling next to my map lights and sunroof controls, and the resistors I should replace are up there. seeing that your passenger airbag light is with your clock, it might be on that PCB that you need to look.

if it's this, a wiring replace would have been worthless. :)

ha. after actually reading that last line in the first post, and seeing the blue crimps in the picture, I bet it's there too. i'd remove the crimps and make solder connections with heatshrink over them. crimp connections are the devil.

I took it all apart ans tried to re-align the wires and it wouldn't work. Went to best buy and the car audio guy was able to work some magic and pop it back in correctly now it works fine and the light went away haha. Weird cause one of the sockets in the harness is not used...
