Buy an 05 GT now, or save for an 08 Spec B?

Been looking at LGT's for a while now, i think despite their issues tar its the car i want. Anyways, I'm in a but of a dilemma; my current car is worth about 13k which puts me into avg LGT territory range for 05 years. So i could buy one now, or, i could wait until next spring when i get my bonus and tax return and get an 08 spec B.

What would you do?

I love my spec B. The only thing I dislike it the stock Nav. It's not the best but it's better than none. I would love to put a carpc in it's place but I don't want to spend $1k on something the car already has.

Buy a Tom Tom, your much better off then having a indash unit. I like my Tom Tom 100 times more then the indash unit.

Free updates too.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

What's your location? Why do you consider a 4k truck crappy?

You can pick up a nice shape mazda b4000 4x4 for cheap or plenty of other manufacturers.

A tacoma would be nice for a winter too.

I'm in Alberta Canada, 4K isn't a crappy truck by any means but not the best vehicle to have.

The one I'm looking at is actually A B4000 with winter tires and A 5 spd.

The value of your car will decrease in a year. Will the bonus/ tax (a poor choice on how to spend both : shrug: ) cover the continued depreciation on your current car?

The truck might go down 500 bucks which isn't a whole lot, most likely my bonus is small, my tax return will be significant though due to tax credits from being a student. I think that plus saving should net me something decent (plus the 10k extra i would have used on a car).

Got a new house so I might dump some cash into that or a vacation.

Sucks cause i really wanted a LGT for winter this year, but i can wait i suppose.
