Blk2.5GT
I've been looking for a set of aftermarket tail lights for my 05' GT. I hanv't been able to find any! Does anyone know of any companies that make them and where I can find a set??
NSFW
For wagon taillights, search this site for 'screate' and 'hanabi.' For sedans, I dunno.
devobuzz
I wish I knew of some too. The taillights are the most bland (ie Camry-looking) part of the car and need to be upgraded!
zmarko
Tint them.
DarkOblivion000
lol I think they look alright... They may not have the Lexus flare or the Mazda style, but I think they fit the classy nature of the Legacy. http://i707.photobucket.com/albums/ww76/Darkoblivion000/IMG_0644-1.jpg
scoobydoobie
Yeah most people tint or use overlays on sedans. I think the 08' tails look great stock, its the 05'-06' pink with chrome strips that look like ass IMO.
supafla777
cool look how did you do it ? but doesn't this diminish the visibility of your light markers i sure wanna have a cool looking car but getting rear ended buy grandma takes the fun out of it. DarkOblivion000
I used Lamin-X tints; they just tack on, very easy application. Other people have actually sprayed on tint, or opened up their tails to spray on tint. Too involved for me, and if cops ever call me out on it, it'd be a b*tch to undo. Might even have to buy new taillights. Yes it does darken the brake lights a little... but if you think about it, how noticeable it is is really dependent on 1) what your taillights look like when you're not braking 2) what your taillights look like when you are braking. Stock: 1) They're red. 2) They are still red, but get brighter After tinting: 1) They're black 2) They're black, but glow red In my weird sense of logic, tinting may reduce the actual light output of the LED's, but they may not necessarily decrease how visible it is that you're braking by too much. In any case, going with smoked or gunsmoke I think will allow enough light to go through that you won't have to worry about visibility of tail lights. If a granny is gonna hit you, she gonna hit you anyway!! I've had some hard stops in traffic recently with my tinted tails and no one has hit me yet. scoobydoobie
Then there's these, which have holes and reverse light cutouts. Looks completely stock when braking (tons of light output) and full functionality of the reverse lights. http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/5417/d01yy2.jpg http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/5058/tint09tk8.jpg
DarkOblivion000
I heard there was a guy on here (Jinsu power?) that sold those, but not anymore. Since then no one knows how to get the ones with the cutouts.

Jinsu-Power is no longer in business, but this guy:http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111147 is going to try and start making them. Can't you guy JDM tails from HKC Speed? http://www.hkc-speed.com/index.php?a...&productId=209 You could, but the JDM tails look the same as USDM tails to me. Definitely not different enough to warrant the $$$ for them IMO.
