katalyst Posted January 7, 2010 Share Posted January 7, 2010 did you recently get stuck in a snow storm? it relates to the speed sensors as ridgeracer mentioned. the Er 55 is actually " SS". the abs is disabled when the calibration of the speed sensors is off. sometimes when you're stuck and trying to get out one wheel can spin significantly quicker than another and throw off the sensors, usually in that case after 3 start up cycles the CEL and ABS light will clear itself, however if you're experiencing the issue chronically it may be damaged sensors.
