My new 96 Subaru legacy wagon

Recommended Posts

I am very proud say that I am a new Subaru legacy owner. I picked her up about 3 weeks ago with 105,000 OM. Had one owner, never been in an accident, interior is spot on. It was re painted. not the best job but it works for now. Every time I drive the car I become more attached . Shes my daily driver and runs very well. suspension mods soon to come!

Tinted the windows. It was well needed.

VERY clean!! I have those same WRX wheels to put on my 97 LGT too. Also have some WRX Bilstein struts with Eibach springs i picked up for $160 waiting to go on too. Good luck with your car

Hey thanks! I cant wait to put them on. I'm still deciding if I should go coils or struts and springs.

Lived a very garaged life it seems o_O

It did indeed! Which is why I could pass it up. One of the best cars I ever owned. I plan on keeping it in as mint condition as possible.

  • 2 months later...

So its been a while since I have been on. after some trials and tribulations my car is coming together kind of haha.

I was watching some football with a couple of friends one Sunday, and a nice old gentleman decided he wanted to back his Honda ridge line into my poor, helpless, parked Subaru. He was nice enough to let me know, and his insurance payed for it. His truck came away with some of my paint. luckily he just smashed the fender and didn't keep going.

:nono:

finally got the wrx rims on with some new kumho tires. I also scored some side skirts from a sedan at the junkyard. I have yet to mount them.

MY POS '96 wagon has H&R springs with KYB struts, 1/2 spacers in the back..At first I liked the firmness, but using it as a daily makes me wish the combo was just a little softer...but I would rather it be too hard than too soft...My car only has 14's on it too...If I eventually put 16's on it, i suppose the ride will get even worse...I have to say, that the car sticks PHENOMENALLY in the turns...It's my first AWD car and my first Subaru, but it won't be the last...The car is virtually uncatchable in the turns...There is a big sweeping 270 degree turn on the local freeways that I love to embarrass ricers on with my crappy old wagon.

I love the 270s too! So much fun in a Subaru with good suspension and tires. I have stock springs and KYB GR2s that have close to 100k on them, 16" WRX rims w/fairly new Goodyear Comforted Touring tires. I have a new set of KYBs and H&R lowering springs to swap on their when I get some time and it warms up a bit outside.
