Admrl
Okay, i did read through all of the TPMS threads, so heres the gist of my question: Will the TPMS light being on make the car fail a NYS inspection? I know OBDII cars newer than 1996 get "plugged in" and any CEL's make the car fail inspecton. To be clear, i DO NOT CARE about the dash light. Its been on since right after i got the car (put tire cleaner on the tires and poof, light was on). It doesnt bother me, i dont notice it. But i have new winter tires on the way here, which are going on the factory rims. the sensors are in the wheels, i guess... But they dont work, i dont think. I suppose im hoping the shop will still use them, but im assuming they might not. More though, im concerned with inspection, the computer, and the sensors. Plenty of people hereseem to be driving around with the light on, so maybe im overstating the issue and its a no biggie?
Bolksey85
It shouldn't but each state is different. As long as the car is operating in a safe manner, I can't see a reason it would fail for it.
