1055
I'm curious about this. Ive read through all the stickies and it only says they have to. Not why. I dont really see the benefit aside from inconveniencing those that already have the pictures hosted elsewhere? Am I the only one who feels this way? NWSPECB
Need to be uploaded for future reference when people research similar parts to assess the value of their's.
famaya26
Also incase anything were to go wrong. pictures would be uploaded to the site and you couldn't just delete the linked pictures. Like posting something as new but its used. Helps protect the buyer and seller.
NWSPECB
But you can just delete the uploaded pictures.. Uploading the pictures to this site helps to ensure that they won't go away due to a dead link from a host site.

1055
So to play devils advocate.. the pictures could just be deleted from the user's attachment bin after upload and being sold. Ive got a message numerous times about exceeding my data storage capacity on this site, resulting in me having to log in and remove some of my attachments. in my eyes a picture is a picture. Just because its uploaded to the users attachment file doesn't mean the picture is theirs.

Protects the buyer and seller.
Tide
We've never had a limit on attachment storage. Can you please post if you do get something and a screenshot?
