Cmbonni
I'm about to go to pull a part in a few days for another engine block for my 1991 subaru legacy and is found the selection of ej22 engines are slim in my neck of the woods. Ej25 engines are more common and I'd like to see if I can do a frankiengine. I have the ej22 heads and intake manifold, if I was to find a decent ej25 engine could I use that instead of a ej22? Would the ecu accept it? Would it bolt up? Anything else I should know?

GEE-OTTO
What phase is the EJ25 block? If you can find a Phase 1 EJ25D + your EJ22 heads, intake and ECU you will be in luck. The EJ22 ECU would run it all.
