fred_killigan
I'm fairly new to the island and have searched the forum for any info on this. I need to get the car to a dyno soon to just see where I'm at and then do my upgrading to see the difference. Does anyone know any reputable tuners on oahu or am I screwed with ap map and staying out of boost after the upgrade until I move back to the mainland in 3 years? Thanks in advance
Gex
You can do an etune with your accessport for any mods you add to the car. As for an awd dyno on the islands I have no clue try a regional forum on here, nasioc, maybe an evo forum.
end0
Have you tried googling this? I just did and came up with a few things.
fred_killigan
yeah google pulls up a few that I've driven to to check out and lets just say that there will be enough snow on this island for me to snowboard with before I leave my car there overnight. That and I've heard a few things about those "shops" that I'm not too keen on
ViscousSquirrel
Rad motorsports in Waipahu. Awd dyno. Jarrad from Pdx tuning should be in town in November. Go to Pdx tuning.com shoot him an email and ask him when he will be in town. http://www.pdxtuning.com/contact.htm. Also, tell Jarrad that He's "kind of a big deal, and people know him" and he will give you a discount.   Also, you can snowboard on Mauna Kea a few months a year. /thread
fred_killigan
Alright thanks man I appreciate the info. Rad is one of the ones I looked at and read bad reviews on but we'll see
ViscousSquirrel
You won't get any shining reviews from me but that's kind of irrelevant. The point is to dyno and then tune your car. jarrad is from PDF and is not affiliated. He gets a solid stamp of approval. And since rad just supplies the dyno and jarrad gets the good reviews what's the problem?
ilandcruza
Check I-club for more info on tuning dates. They usually have jarrad from pdx or someone from AMR I think to tune cars at rad motorsports. They usually have a sign up list on the forum
fred_killigan
thanks for all the info. I'm not downplaying Rad's at all just don't like the neighborhood it happens to be situated in.
