If there is a stain, it requires some elbow grease. IMO it doesn't do anything that a good carwash soap and brushing can not do to wheels that are kept up.... If you have brake dust baked on your wheels this stuff can help but will still require elbow grease. Now if it was a spray on hose off type of a solution, it would be a different story.
