Poorboy strikes back / custom cubby pod

Well I did it again, instead of being content with the current gauge placement options I spent a few hours and threw this together.

a piece of sheet metal, a exhaust pipe adapter, a scavenged homelink module, couple of low dollar gauges, a red LED, and some carbon fiber vinyl

I contoured the back plate to match the cubby doors profile. Then used a hole saw to drill the holes for the gauges. Some creative use of the die grinder to elongate the holes to accommodate the angled gauge housings. For said housings a exhaust adapter selected to match the gauges on each side 2" and 1.5" set the cut adapter rings in place and MIG them in (Boss man said "You should TIG weld it" but I didn’t want to risk the pieces on my novice TIG skills) drill the 3 holes for the hacked homelink modules’ remote switches, prime, paint and wrap and boom its done and damn sexy if I do say so myself

(first poorboy adventure)
